Sustainable Coastal Redwood

The wood that we use (coastal redwood) is the fastest-growing crop tree in North America. Planted and harvested by more tree farmers than any other wood, these redwood forests constantly renew themselves. 

Besides the benefit of sustainability, redwood is also beautiful to look at and durable. With a unique wood grain, coastal redwood holds its shape consistently and is less prone to warping and splitting than other woods. We take pride in building sustainable furniture and knowing that all our wood products test green. 

Special Eco-Friendly Oil Finish

Building sustainable furniture doesn’t stop with coastal redwood. After bringing your outdoor furniture home, you will want to protect it, so it lasts well into the future. The oil finish that we invented and sell, Michael’s Tung Oil Special Blend, is entirely formulated from seed, citrus, and nut oils. It has no toxins and smells like oranges. When you apply it to the redwood, the multitude of colors in the wood come out, making a beautiful display.
