Our difference:
handmade furniture that's beautiful, durable, and different.
Michael Frazier Designs is a design and furniture build company committed to environmental sustainability and timeless designs. Owner Michael Frazier studied art at Boise State University and has been an artist for over 30 years. He builds every redwood table, bench, and custom piece by hand in his shop. Besides being a skilled craftsman, he also has an eye for creating handmade furniture and beautiful products known for their simplicity. Michael's furniture actually has its own category in the art world – Functional Art.
When you work with Michael Frazier, you are not getting a furniture product from a factory or off an assembly line. No matter the piece (or pieces) you choose, it will be designed for you, built to fit your comfort, and sized for your family or business.
After Michael began making handmade furniture over 32 years ago, his work was seen and built to be sent to the royal palace in Saudi Arabia, a castle in London, and has been used in several motion pictures, including “Kindergarten Cop,” "The Two Jakes," and “The Patriot.” Every year, he adds new design concepts and handmade furniture pieces to the collection.
Some key differences that set our products above others:
- Our outdoor redwood furniture is environmentally friendly, and the coastal redwood and the blended oil finish are organic and renewable.
- Customers can choose from different table sizes to accommodate groups from two to 16 people.
- We’ve planned our tabletop sizes with a wide enough width to make room for serving dishes and centerpieces without overcrowding the place settings.
- Every product looks unique because each coastal redwood tree has its own unique wood pattern with hundreds of shades and colors.
- Our handmade benches and tables quickly fold up for storage and transportation. Add a storage rack with wheels to make moving effortless.
- We can create custom benches and tables to fit oddly-shaped areas.
- Every table and bench has rounded edges for your comfort.
- The attention to detail is remarkable.
- You can choose umbrella holes on two table corners to control shading better.
- Our products are durable and stand the test of time, and we’ve never heard about one of our table sets wearing out.
Our difference is our passion for customers and the environment.
Meeting Customer Needs
At Michael Frazier Designs, innovation is the guiding force behind everything we do, and we always strive to deliver what we promise and more.
Founded upon the mission to create new outdoor handmade furniture, we pay close attention to detail, and our customer service is second to none.
We pride ourselves on working closely with clients to give them the outdoor furniture that fits their exact needs and specifications. If you want a half-round table that folds or something else you don’t see featured when browsing, let us know, and we’ll figure it out.
Ecofriendly Materials
We are dedicated to not harming the environment. That’s why we use only coastal redwood for every product we build. The redwood farm is in Northern California, where over 4.5 million new trees are planted every year for continuous renewal.
We have also developed a special oil blended with Tung oil and other nontoxic oils that we sell and use to finish our wood products (called Michael's Orangewood Oil). Unlike other plant oils that take longer to dry and leave an oily residue, our unique oil has a satin finish and beautifully maintains the redwood furniture. Plus, it is organic and entirely green (ecologically friendly).
